Double needle pressure gauges are mainly used on locomotives and vehicles to measure the pressure in hydraulic systems or air storage cylinders. The instrument can simultaneously measure two identical or different pressures, and the difference between the two pressures should generally not exceed one-third of the upper limit of the dial.

principle

The instrument consists of two independent measurement systems and indicator devices. The working principle of instruments is based on the elastic deformation of elastic components. Under the pressure of the measured medium, the ends of the two spring tubes are forced to produce corresponding displacements, which are amplified by the transmission of the rod through the gear transmission mechanism. The red and black pointers fixed on the gear shaft indicate the two measured values on the dial one by one.
